Easy to grow, delicate, soft green feathery foliage used fresh on fish and in salads; seed heads essential in many pickle recipes.
Culture: Can be started indoors. Sow outdoors 2 weeks after last frost date in your area, and/or set out transplants in rich, well drained soil. In fall, sow direct outdoors in mid to late August. Do not plant in hot summer months. Thin plants 9"-12" apart.
Harvest: Anytime after plants show signs of vigorous growth, cut leaves at stem base. When seeds begin to darken, cut entire stem and place upside down in bag. The bag will catch dry seeds as they fall.
Nutrition: Greens are high in vitamins A and C and other minerals.
