Superior flavor of the famous Blue Lake in plump, 6" (15 cm) round, dark green, fleshy pods, slow white seed development. Heirloom variety.
Culture: Any good, well drained soil with a pH above 6 will grow beans. Beans do not tolerate cool wet soil. When soil reaches at least 50℉, sow seed 4" (10 cm) apart, 1" (2.5 cm) deep in rows 24" (60 cm) apart. Thinning is not necessary. Successive planting can be made every 3 weeks. Water regularly to encourage new pod set.
Preserving: Can or freeze.
