Small rosette heads, 4.5" (11.25 cm.) wide, outer leaves are smooth and dark green. This butterhead variety is a longstanding, slow-bolting, bibb type with considerable heat resistance. Heirloom variety.
Culture: Can be started indoors and transplanted or directly sown. Requires a rich, well drained soil. Keep continually moist during the growing season. Root systems develop best when planted in spring.
Harvest: Successive planting every two weeks until fall for a continuous supply. Pick when heads are full.
