Attractive shape has made SMR 58, developed by the University of Wisconsin, the standard home garden pickle for many years. Resistant to scab and mosaic. Spines are black. 6.5" long and 2.5" in diameter. Skin color is medium green. Heirloom variety.
Culture: Sow in groups (hills) of 6-8 seeds, 30" apart. Thin to three plants per group.
