Large, smooth leaf type on semi-upright 16"-22" (40-56 cm) tall spreading plant. Oval serrated dark green leaves 8"-10" (20-25 cm) long with tender cream-colored midribs. Grows vigorously, popular in the South.
Culture: Direct sow seeds as soon as the soil can be worked in the spring and again every 3 weeks until late spring for successive plantings. Sow again in late summer for fall crop. Water regularly and fertilize when 3" (7.5 cm) tall.
Harvest: Young leaves for salads, full size leaves for greens.
Nutrition: Rich source of vitamins A and C and some minerals.
