Bush type plant, long cylindrical zucchini, dark green with light green stripes. Heirloom variety.
Culture: Requires very rich soil, as squash is a voracious feeder. Sow 6-8 seeds in groups (hills) 2'-3' (60-90 cm) apart. Thin to 2-3 plants per group. Water regularly from time of flowering until fruits ripen.
Nutrition: Vitamin C and protein.
Uses: Raw in salads and with dips or steamed, fried, or stewed. Freezes well.
