A favorite table vegetable grown in home gardens. Heads are white, round and large. Heirloom variety.
Culture: Lime well before planting in moisture retentive soil. Lack of water can cause the plant to deform or produce a smaller head. Can be started indoors and transplanted at six weeks. As heads emerge from plant, bend or tie leaves over the white heads to protect them from the sun.
Harvest: Ready in about 50-60 days from transplant date.
Nutrition: High in vitamin C.
Suggestions: Delicious and nutritious when cooked. Break into florets for eating raw.
