Extremely meaty, smooth, dark green, round, tender pods, 6"-7" (15-18 cm) long. Absolutely stringless at all stages of growth. This highly productive bean is ideal for home and market gardens. Heirloom variety.
Culture: Any good well drained soil with a pH above 6 will grow beans. Beans do not tolerate cool wet soil. After last frost date, soil approximately 50℉, sow seed 2" apart, 1" deep in rows 24"-36" apart. Thinning is not necessary. For continuous supply, plant every three weeks until July 15th.
Harvest: Maturity 52 days. Pick regularly when young to encourage new pod set. Extended season, high yield even in hot weather.
Nutrition: Good source of protein, dietary fiber, vitamins A and C.
Preserving: Can or freeze.
